I'm curious what others think about some of the newer prog/prog-jazz/experimental bands. I like Porcupine Tree a lot but don't care for The Mars Volta, Spock's Beard, or Dream Theater. New finds (at least for me): 5uu's, Far Corner, The Nels Cline Singers, Birdsongs of the Mesozoic, Aksak Maboul, This Heat, The Lickets, Thinking Plague, Scot Ray Quintet. Anybody into this music and willing to compare notes?
